Eleanor “Nana” Whitaker

1938 to 2026. Mother, grandmother, pie champion.

Nana believed every problem could be improved by pie, and most of them could be solved by it.

She taught three generations to make biscuits by feel, to write thank-you notes, and to never leave a party without saying goodbye to the host.

She is survived by her daughters Carol and Ruth, six grandchildren, and a recipe box that will outlive us all.
